Some of my earliest memories are of following my dad outside while he worked.

Whether he was fixing the car or repairing something around the house, I'd stand nearby, asking questions and watching how he solved problems. My brother usually stayed inside watching TV, but I wanted to learn. I wanted to understand how things worked.

One day, while we were working together, my dad shared something that has stayed with me ever since.

"If you work hard and learn to improve your work, you'll always find work and be needed."

I may not remember every word exactly as he said it, but I've never forgotten what he meant.

Hard work opens doors.

Improving your craft keeps them open.

When you become someone people can depend on, you'll always have opportunities to serve.

That lesson shaped the way I approached every job I ever had.

Years later, it became the foundation for Numa Ink.

I didn't start this company simply because I wanted to work for myself. I started it because I wanted to build something that reflected the values my father lived every day—a business built on honest work, continuous improvement, and serving people well.

Today, we partner with businesses, churches, schools, nonprofits, and organizations to create custom apparel they're proud to wear. Every order is another opportunity to do work we're proud of, help someone else succeed, and continue improving our craft.

Because at the end of the day, we still believe what my father taught me all those years ago:

Work hard. Keep improving your work. Become someone people need.

That's the legacy we're proud to continue.
