Our Story

Some of my earliest memories are of following my dad outside while he worked.

Whether he was fixing the car or repairing something around the house, I’d stand nearby, asking questions and watching how he solved problems. I wanted to understand how things worked.

One day, while we were working together, my dad shared something that has stayed with me ever since:

“If you work hard and learn to improve your work, you’ll always find work and be needed.”

I may not remember every word exactly as he said it, but I’ve never forgotten what he meant.

Hard work opens doors.

Improving your craft keeps them open.

And when you become someone people can depend on, you’ll always have opportunities to serve.

Those words became a foundation for the way I approached work throughout my life.

Eventually, that foundation became a business.

Carlos Creations was where it all started. It was built around a simple belief I learned from my father: work hard, improve your craft, and become someone people can depend on.

But as the business grew, so did I.

My faith became a bigger part of who I was and how I viewed the work I had been given. I began to understand that the business could be about more than creating apparel or working for myself. It could be an opportunity to honor God through the way we work, the way we serve people, and the quality we put into what we create.

That’s where Carlos Creations became Numa Ink.

“Numa” is inspired by pneuma, a Greek word associated with breath, spirit, and the Spirit of God. The name represents a shift in what we look to as our foundation.

Carlos Creations looked to the words of my earthly father.

Numa Ink looks to our Heavenly Father.

The lesson my dad taught me hasn’t changed. If anything, my faith has given that lesson a greater purpose.

We still believe in working hard.

We still believe in improving our craft.

We still believe in becoming people others can depend on.

But now, we believe those things are ultimately an extension of something greater: using the gifts God has given us to serve others and glorify Him through our work.

Today, Numa Ink partners with businesses, churches, schools, nonprofits, and organizations to create custom apparel they’re proud to wear.

Every order is an opportunity to serve someone well. Every project is an opportunity to improve. And every piece we create is a reminder of why we started.

From Carlos Creations to Numa Ink, the name changed.

The purpose became clearer.

The foundation got deeper.

And while my earthly father gave me the lesson that started it all, I look to my Heavenly Father to guide where it goes.

That’s the story of Numa Ink.

And that’s the legacy we’re proud to continue.
